Pet Wellness
Complete physical exams are performed on all patients, allowing us to pinpoint problems and spot danger signs. This is the time to ask any questions that you may have concerning your pet. We also offer Puppy and Kitten care, vaccinations, and parasite testing.
Pet Surgery
Surgical procedures are performed under gas or anesthesia. Cardiac and respiratory monitors are used to alert us to any anesthetic complications that may arise. We perform surgery ranging from soft-tissue surgery to orthopedics and ACL repairs. Our surgical procedures also cover elective surgery (i.e., spays, dewclaws, and dentistries) on an appointment basis. Please call to schedule.
Pet Dentistry
Available prophylaxis and oral surgery are done under the same anesthetic and monitoring systems as any other surgical procedure. Advanced dental procedures such as root canals and restorations are referred to board-certified veterinary dentists in our area.
Advanced Diagnostics
We offer a variety of diagnostics, including radiology. A state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine was installed in Sept. 2006. This machine rapidly produces digital-quality images to aid in the diagnosis of your pet’s ailment or injury. In-house ECGs and chest x-rays are performed to diagnose and treat heart disease rapidly. When more advanced diagnostics are required, such as echocardiology and or doppler, referrals are made to cardiologists in our area. Routine lab work, such as fecal exams, heartworm tests, urinalysis, and complete blood workups, is done in-house, usually while you wait. A few tests are done off-site, and results are generally available the following morning. MLS Laser Therapy and DigiTherm imaging are also available to help diagnose and treat your pet’s issues.
END-OF-LIFE Care
At Pennell Veterinary Clinic, we understand that the loss of a pet can be a complex and emotionally challenging experience. We offer various pet end-of-life care services to help you through this difficult time. Our experienced and compassionate staff will work with you to create a personalized plan for your pet’s end-of-life care. We offer various options for pet end-of-life care, including euthanasia. We also provide pet cremation services. We are here to help you through this challenging time and provide the best possible care for your pet.
